          Case Pick Team Lead

    General Summary:

    Provides day-to-day leadership and support for the case pick team in all facets of the operation. Works closely with Facility Coordinator to ensure staffing requirements are met and manages case pick schedule daily. Monitors and reports team productivity metrics and ensures that the team is achieving daily and weekly goals. Acts as a liaison between departments and shifts to communicate possible changes or issues.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Acts as primary back-up for the Facility Coordinator in the event of his/her absence from the building
    2. Performs all administrative activities involved in the fulfillment of customer orders and inbound receipts, including: printing of WM order details, WM pick tickets, ASN labels, bills of lading, and receiving documents
    3. Complies with and assists enforcement of all safety policies and procedures
    4. Ensures that the facility meets its commitment to perform wall-to-wall inventory cycle counts every forty-five days
    5. Operates a computer, entering order management information into WM, SAP and Sterling systems
    6. Determines and communicates daily and weekly departmental goals to team
    7. Provides daily communication to keep all team members fully informed of department and company business
    8. Ensures through regular audits that pallets are built to customer requirements and standards
    9. Performs regular review of case pick and layer pick SKU’s in order to ensure maximum utilization of the department
    10. Conducts inter-departmental training
    11. Assists in staffing the department and ensuring breaks are given at appropriate times
    12. Ensures that daily housekeeping chores are accomplished
    13. Works to standardize operating processes; ensures adherence to SOP’s
    14. Assists in coordination of new hire training and qualifications.
    15. Operates material handling equipment, including forklift and rider jack
    16. Tracks performance metrics for case pick team and reports to facility coordinator daily, weekly and monthly results
    17. Performs other duties as assigned
    18. Regular and predictable attendance is required

     

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    1. Excellent oral/written communication skills
    2. Experience acting in a leadership capacity
    3. Excellent organizational/time management skills
    4. Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization
    5. Ability to work for long periods of time, under pressure, to produce results
    6. Analytical ability with an aptitude for data/numbers
    7. Knowledge of customer service, transportation procedures/practices, warehouse systems, and inventory management software.
    8. Proficiency with MS Office
    9. Demonstrate ambiguity to change

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    College degree preferred and/or minimum two years progressive experience that demonstrates required leadership skill set working in a distribution environment. Supervisory experience preferred. Experience required with SAP, WM, and/or Nistevo preferred.
