    The position:

    This position has overall responsibility for processing all payables for the plant in a lean manufacturing and distribution environment

    Responsibilities

    What you’ll do:

     

     

    The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing all payables for the plant. This includes matching customer invoices with appropriate receiving reports and purchase orders. This position will require interfacing with vendors and internal personnel to obtain appropriate documentation, gain required approvals, and reconcile discrepancies. The position will also require other duties consistent with standard accounts payable duties. This position requires good interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and a general working knowledge of computer systems and Excel. Prior experience with accounts payable is desired.

    Qualifications

    What you’ll need:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • -3 years previous accounting experience preferred
    • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization
    • Good communications skills – ability to communicate clearly and concisely in multiple media – verbal, written, etc.
    • Strong organizational/time management skills.
    • Ability to prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced work environment
    • Strong computer skills (Experience in Excel required, and previous SAP experience preferred).
    • Confidentiality – Ability to keep confidential financial and personnel related information.
